Childcare Centre Princess Ariane in Noordwijk was set up primarily for the children of the personnel working at ESA-ESTEC. For that reason, English is spoken in one of the toddlers’ groups at Princess Ariane. This website however contains several links to our corporate website which is Dutch. In the baby groups at our childcare day centre, babies literally get a lot of space: their freedom of movement is not limited. They determine where they want as well as setting their own pace. In this respect, we get our inspiration from the ideas of the Hungarian paediatrician, Emmi Pikler.

Our new and spacious facility is designed to give the toddlers plenty of play opportunities as well. There is a large hall, a separate hobby room for handicrafts and a wonderful kitchen where we can have a hot meal at lunch time every day. We offer different activities which focus on different areas of development.

Playing outside is also important. We even have a little stream flowing through the garden. We also make frequent visits to the children’s farm and the stables close by. At Princess Ariane, each day is too short!
